Study Piece: Prelude In C (WTC)
This solo study piece is the first prelude in C Major from the Well Tempered Clavier by J.S.Bach
The piece has been adapted to bass especially for this course in such a way that it can be performed on any 4 string bass with a standard 20 fret neck.
In module 1 we’ll take a look at the history of the piece and the Well Tempered Clavier collection, we have a technique primer in preparation for the hurdles you’re likely to encounter and we also take a look at how to achieve the bass tone used in Mark’s performance.
In module 2 we’ll work progressively through the prelude in 6 independent sections.
